Well, it's been a few months! I decided to take a break after my last post to avoid burnout and planned to return around planet season. I wanted to make sure I got a shot of Saturn this year with its rings edge-on, and since it's high enough at a decent hour right now, I decided to dust off the gear. Man, taking a few months off really makes you feel like a beginner again-which is both good and bad.

I attempted some mono imaging, but FireCapture wasn't cooperating, so I quickly switched to the color camera. The seeing wasn't great tonight, and I wanted to capture something before it worsened-which, unfortunately, it did as the night went on.

Earlier this year I picked up a new camera, a miniCAM8 from QHYCCD which I hope to dive into later this year.

But until then here is a capture of Saturn.
