I don't think I will ever be able to photograph Mercury and can only hope for a visual observation, and even that is doubtful considering my horizon. Although on November 13, 2032 Mercury will transit the Sun and I may be able to capture it then. Other than that I guess I can hope for a shot at it if it happens to be near the Sun during an eclipse. Until then, see you in 2032!

UPDATE: I actually managed to get Mercury on March 15, 2025. It’s not very exciting, but it completes my solar system observations! It was really difficult to capture this planet since I only had a few minutes to work with, and I had to move to the front yard, which was a bit distracting with people seeing me and asking questions—but I managed a very quick capture.
